Restocking Fee

All pick guards from Terrapin Guitars are custom made per order. We do not pre make Pick Guards for off the shelf sales. It is our hope that you are sure about what you are ordering. We try and make every effort to inform you about possible issues and provide you with extra services such as PDF files and Laser cut mock-ups in order to insure that you are getting the right pick guard for your needs.

It has been our experience that any returns to Terrapin Guitars are not able to be resold because in most circumstances the chances of someone else coming along with the exact same needs a few and far between there fore a 50% restocking fee will be assigned to all returns based on our discretion.

The restocking fee covers the expenses incurred during the fabrication of the order.

On a personal note. I have, over the 9 years of providing this service, produced pick guards for well over 10,000 customers and from that lot I have received a certain percentage of returns, very few of which I have ever been able to resell. They have gone into boxes and been stashed in the corner. I had made attempts to sell them through various other avenues such as e-bay or at a discount rate on my site but with that always comes more questions that I just do not have the time or resources to deal with so they basically become part of the collection of non movable items.

Recently I made a trade to a local Guitar Repair friend. I gave at least 200 pick guards that were either from my simple mistakes of making the wrong configuration for an order or returns for various reasons. At a low average price of $25.00 per pick guard that was a loss of several thousand dollars.

So in that I justify my restocking fee.
