Acoustic Celluloid Materials
|

.030" Firestripe |
Known issues with this material. It's beautiful yes but all of the light colors are very transparent. Because of this it can create an unwanted effect once applied to the guitar. The effect being you may see aspects of the adhesive behind the pick guard creating and undesirable look.
Your options are to hire a Luthier, who has experience with such issues, to apply your pick guard, get it without adhesive if you have your own method of application or I can paint the back white which eliminates the transparency of the material but the resulting look is not as nice as the transparent look if you can get the install right. The white paint brings out the orange color much more.
Now that you are aware of the issue you can decide what you want to do and specify in the special instructions box of the order form.

New Autumn Sunset
.070"
thick Celluloid Tortoise
It's not on any material drop down list at this time. Available only by email order after I provide you with a custom quote based on your needs.
Be aware that this is not going to be cheap. I have to wet sand and polish every piece so based on the amount of time involved pick guards for a small acoustic such as an L4A will start at $50.00
Sheet stock not available for sale.
All order will require that I order material
for that specific job. I do not keep a bunch in stock and samples are currently NOT available. |
