Template Fee's

There are occasions where I do charge a template fee which in most cases is $20.00. Sometimes more
sometimes less depending on the circumstances.

If you send me a new pick guard shape I do not offer then you pay a one time template fee. I keep your
template on file digitally and I keep a physical copy for a short time unless the job is repeated often in
which case I'll keep the hard copy on file for you. You can also request I send you the router template but
additional shipping charges may apply.

There are some who think that they should not pay a template fee because they are giving me some
new prize pick guard that will make me a fortune. Well that's never the case. I usually do not add new
templates that are untested over a period of time to the web site because there is too much inconsistency
in this industry.

On some occasions people order a pick guard and then say it does not fit and they want to then send in their
original to duplicate. At that point I mention that they can return the pick guard and receive a refund based
on the global policies I have in place and any specific policies regarding the pick guard in question.

Then a new order can be started with the addition of the template fee.

This obviously does not go over well with everybody because they feel like they are getting screwed.

It's not my intention to screw anybody out of their hard earned money. I do the best I can to offer any number
of methods for you to check if the guard will work for you. First and foremost is my page of PDF outlines and
each guard should have a PDF outline available on the order page. If it's not on the PDF page or Order page
then you simply need to contact me and I'll do what I can to get you the outline via email.

All PDF files must be confirmed using the instructions on this page.

Second, I offer laser cut mock ups for $5.00 shipping included.
I'm not trying to nickel and dime you here. I make maybe $2.00 for my time on this.

I'm not aware of any other pick guard fabricator that goes to this level of service to get you what you need.
